I am a fallen away democrate! Least you raise your brow and exclaim duhhhh......., let me explain that that statement is as close to proclaiming that one is a "fallen away Catholic" or I am coming out of the closet as a sane small town Irish lad might ever dare utter. Yes, if you are Irish Catholic (as I and my seven sibs are along with all our many cousins aunts & uncles ) you are expected to cast your vote along the liberal lines in thanksgiving for Al Smith's nomination and John Kennedy's election. But thanks to a Jesuit education, I ve learned how to think inspite of too many of my liberal professors trying to indoctrinate me into what to think.
